DEFS—Data Exchange with Free Sample Protocol

Distrust between data providers and consumers is one of the main obstacles hampering take-off digital-data commerce. Data want to get paid for what they offer, while know exactly are paying before actually it. In this article, we present a protocol that overcomes obstacle by building trust based on two ideas. First, probabilistic verification protocol, where some random samples real dataset shown buyers in order allow them make an assessment committing any payment; second, guaranteed, protected payment process enforced with smart contracts public blockchain guarantees if only provided meet agreed terms, honest players otherwise refunded.
